Mohson Khan - Head of Corporate Relations & Employability Unit

Mohson provides strategic leadership for the School of Science & Technology’s industry engagement and employability education, setting CREU’s direction in line with the University’s employability strategy. He oversees the team’s partnerships, curriculum contribution and professional experience provision, ensuring these support institutional priorities and student needs. Working with academic leaders, professional services and industry partners, he leads a coordinated approach to strengthening students’ career prospects and the School’s relationships with employers.

Hannah Bright-Wood - Employability & Professional Practice Advisor

Hannah supports the Department of Engineering, focusing on electrical and electronic engineering, biomedical engineering, engineering systems and engineering with business. She leads the third-year undergraduate Professional Engineering Healthcare for All module and the postgraduate taught Entrepreneurship in Practice module, connecting academic learning with healthcare challenges and enterprise. Her work includes assessing undergraduate students on placement, helping them reflect on their workplace learning and professional development

Emma Peynado - Employability & Professional Practice Advisor

Emma supports the Department of Mathematics and leads postgraduate taught internships, placements and client-based projects across the School. She oversees the postgraduate taught Professional Internship and Placement modules, helping students connect academic learning with professional experience. Her teaching spans mathematics employability and the undergraduate Professional Development in IT module for computer science students, which she co-leads, supporting students to recognise their skills and prepare for professional opportunities.

Roma Ivanauskaite - Employability & Professional Practice Advisor

Roma supports the Department of Engineering, focusing on civil and structural engineering. She leads postgraduate business development, building employer relationships that create professional experience opportunities. Working with academic colleagues, she delivers The Engineer in Society module in the second year, helping students develop career-focused skills, and supports third-year client group projects exploring design and sustainability. Her teaching responsibilities include co-leading the Accenture School of Tech module.

Simon Abbott - Employability & Professional Practice Advisor

Simon supports the Department of Engineering, focusing on mechanical design, aeronautical and aerospace engineering, in a job share with Becky Jenkinson. He jointly leads the Professional Pathway Programme, which enables students to gain three years of professional experience before graduation, and the undergraduate Professional Development in IT module for computer science students. Drawing on his background in creativity, projects and research, Simon brings creative thinking into teaching and encourages students to explore different approaches to professional challenges.

Becky Jenkinson - Employability & Professional Practice Advisor

Becky supports the Department of Engineering, focusing on mechanical design, aeronautical and aerospace engineering. She jointly leads the Professional Pathway Programme, which enables students to gain three years of professional experience before graduation, and the undergraduate Professional Development in IT module for computer science students. Alongside her teaching, Becky assesses undergraduate students on placement, helping them reflect on their workplace learning and professional development.

Fatima Yasmin - Employability & Professional Practice Advisor

Fatima supports the Department of Computer Science across a range of programmes. She leads undergraduate individual industry projects, connecting final-year students with organisations offering real-world challenges, and the undergraduate Technology Consulting module, where students develop and communicate proposed solutions to organisational needs. Through her role as co-lead of the Accenture School of Tech module, Fatima brings further industry perspectives and professional practice into the curriculum.
