Postgraduate internships

Postgraduate students on a Computing course are offered the opportunity to complete up to six months of professional experience as part of their Masters degree.

The Corporate Relations & Employability Unit’s longstanding internship scheme gives students the chance to apply the knowledge and skills gained from your taught modules in a real business environment.

Apprenticeship MSc programmes we offer

Internship

Work in industry on an internship related to your MSc to gain relevant work experience. Internships last 3-6 months (July-December). While working for the employer you will pursue your individual academic project topic alongside your assigned internship commitments.  Your course end date will be extended, and you will be given additional time to submit your dissertation.

Internship-based project

Similar to the 'internship' you will undertake 3 to 6 months of professional experience (July - December) gaining significant industry experience. In addition to your internship responsibilities, you will also work on a mutually agreed live project in partnership with your employer which will serve as the individual project for your masters.

Industry Project

Work on your individual project on a live client brief set by industry, gaining both academic credit and professional experience.
