Next steps

If you hold an unconditional offer and have accepted your place, you will receive further information about registration and Induction. Your Induction timetable will be sent in late August, and your term timetable will be provided during Induction.

Receiving and responding to an offer

If your application is successful, you'll receive an offer letter via email. You should read this carefully as it contains important information on the next steps and related timeline.

To accept your offer, you will need to use links provided in the offer letter to:

  1. Access the online portal and follow the offer response process
  2. Pay a non-refundable deposit, quoting the student number indicated at the top of your offer letter.

You will need to complete both steps by the deadline(s) stated in the letter. Late acceptances will only be permitted if there is space available. If you need more time to make a decision, you should contact the admissions team for advice.

Once you have confirmed your place and paid your deposit, we'll contact you regularly by email with further information before you start your course.

Register as a student

Registration is the official process to enrol as a student on your chosen course, and consists of five stages (all of which must be completed).

  • Stage One: Online Registration
  • Stage Two: Upload your ID documents
  • Stage Three: Activate your IT account
  • Stage Four: Have your ID verified
  • Stage Five: Collect your student ID card (on-campus study only)

Please be aware that you will not be officially registered at the University until all stages are completed. For more details about the registration process, visit the Student Hub.

Start your course

Induction, also known as Freshers' or Welcome Week , takes place from 28 September 2026 to 02 October 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for you to get involved, make new friends, and start making the most of your university experience. It will also allow you to familiarise yourself with the course and meet the relevant academic staff.

Teaching normally commences in the week following Induction but there are many courses that have an earlier start and details on this will be provided to you. For more information, visit our academic year and term dates page.
