Registration
To confirm your place on your programme, you'll need complete the simple registration process for your course, which will take place online.
Once your place at City St George's has been logged, you will receive an email with the relevant details of how to register - please read this carefully. For most students, registration is a three-stage process:
- Stage One: Complete your online Registration and activate your IT account
- Stage Two: Upload your ID documents for verification
- Stage Three: Collect your student ID card (on-campus study only)
You must complete Stage One before arriving at your course induction, but you should aim to complete Stage One and Two as soon as possible. International students must also complete a Right to Study check as part of their enrolment process. This check will take place onsite before progressing to Stage Three.
You can find detailed information about the registration process on the Student Hub. For further information about starting your studies at the Tooting Campus, please see Get Started: A Guide for New Students.

Disclosing disabilities and health conditions
City St George's warmly welcomes and supports students who are disabled, neurodivergent, have a Specific Learning Difficulty (SpLD) or have a mental health condition.
In order to access disability services, you will need to provide us with supporting information, such as a diagnostic report or a letter from your GP or specialist. Supporting evidence should be sent to disability@sgul.ac.uk and if you have any questions regarding what to send to us or what support we can offer, please do reach out to us.
Accessing disability services
To access the service, please complete our online registration form. We will then be in touch to discuss your support needs. If you would prefer to complete the form with an adviser, or would like it in any other format, please contact us.
Disabled Students' Allowance
As well as registering with us, we would also recommend you apply for support from the Disabled Students’ Allowance as soon as possible. Disabled Students’ Allowances (DSA) is funding available to you through your funding body which provides support for you to enable you to access your course and to offset any disability related expenses.
Find out more about DSA and how to apply.
Once your application has been accepted by your funding body you will be asked to attend a Needs Assessment. This is where you will have equipment and other support recommended for your individual needs. If you have any questions about this, please do reach out to us, we're here to help.

Things to do right now
Register with a GP
Please visit the Your Health page on the Student Hub to find a GP near you and register.
Once you are registered with a GP, you will be allocated a NHS number which will entitle you to free consultations with your GP or a specialist if you are referred to one. You will however have to pay for any medication you are prescribed which currently costs £9.90 per item, unless you meet criteria outlined on the NHS website.
Please make sure when registering with a dentist that you state you want NHS care otherwise you will be treated as a private patient.
Check out the NHS website for top tips about getting medical care as a student.
Organise your money
Funding your course
If you haven't arranged funding for your course yet, Student Finance England offer loans to cover tuition fees as well as maintenance costs. You can also check out City St George's Scholarships and Bursaries for additional funding options.
If you are disabled, or if you have a specific learning difference, health or mental health condition, you may be able to access the Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA).
Open a student bank account
Explore the range of student bank account options available to find the best fit for you. If you choose to set up a student bank account, remember to check the amount of interest-free overdraft available if you think you'll need it, and how much the interest rate is for additional authorised borrowing.
Many banks provide incentives when you open a student bank account such as free railcards - take a look at what's on offer but don't use the incentives as your deciding factor.
Cost of Living support
City St George's has a range of support available to help ease the cost of living. You can find everything in one place on the Cost of Living hub.
