My favourite module on the course was the team project. The reason for this was the fact it allowed us a taste and an interaction of the future we have in the industry. This opportunity allowed me to discover more about the city, and especially studying computer science - it allowed me to be very close to the tech roundabout known as Old Street.

I’m in my third year of my Computer Science course now, and I’ve just completed a year in industry at Microsoft. A lot of courses, like mine, offer a Professional Development module and I think that this really sets City St George's apart. I was assigned a work-based learning adviser who helped me find my placement and prepared me for my interview; they were a big help. If you get chance to study this module, I really recommend it.

By the time I had finished University, I had gained invaluable knowledge from working real, relevant jobs in the industry rather than relying solely on coursework and textbooks. The PP work-based project helped me get a good overview of my own development and the showcase we had to do at the end of the scheme helped reconnect with classmates and get a glimpse of what my competition looked like.
