The ceremony will be held at The Barbican, near our Clerkenwell campus. There are many transport links to the site and you can download a useful map showing you where in the building you need to go.
Please remain seated throughout the ceremony and stand only for the incoming and outgoing processions.

Professor André Spicer, Executive Dean, Bayes Business School

André Spicer is an expert in the areas of organisational behaviour, leadership and corporate social responsibility. Prior to joining City St George's, he was Professor of Organisation Studies at the University of Warwick.
He has published extensively in top scholarly journals, such as Academy of Management Review, Organization Science, Academy of Management Annals, Journal of Management Studies, Organization Studies, and Harvard Business Review.
Professor Spicer has also published many books including The Stupidity Paradox (Allen & Unwin), Metaphors We Lead By (Routledge), The Wellness Syndrome (Polity), Business Bullshit (Routledge), and Desperately Seeking Self Improvement (OR).
Honorary graduate

She was born in Uganda which she left as a child with her family when the East African Asians were expelled in the early 1970s. London is her home.
She has pursued a 30 year long career in management consulting in the public and private sector which included leading the Infrastructure, Government and Healthcare practice at KPMG, the Big Four accountancy firm, where she was also on the UK Board.
Since retiring from full time work in 2018, has been building a portfolio of non executive roles. Her current non-executive roles include Serco Group PLC, Buro Happold LLP and Muswell Hill Golf Club where is the Chair of the Board.
She has also served as a non executive for a privately owned communications agency Zinc Network, the Geospatial Commission for the UK Government.
Between 2019 and 2024 she was in Independent Member of the Council of City, University of London. During this time she chaired the Audit and Risk Committee, was Deputy Chair of Council and, Interim Chair of the Council during the period that saw the combination of City, University of London and St George’s Medical School to form City St George’s, University of London.

Refreshments will be served after your ceremony just outside the graduation hall, where you and your guests are free to take photos and socialise.
