Follow our step-by-step guide to securing your place at Bayes and get in touch if you have any questions along the way.

Please note: schedules and instructions might change at a short notice and it is advisable to check information on the website regularly for updates.

Step 1: Accepting your offer

To accept your offer and make your deposit payment, use the Response Form link in your offer letter. You will be required to pay your deposit or provide official confirmation of sponsorship by the deadline in your offer letter.

Your offer acceptance will only be finalised when the deposit or official confirmation of sponsorship has been received and confirmed by the University. If you make your payment via a bank transfer, then please ensure that you provide us with a confirmation of payment.

Deposits

The deposit for all full-time MSc programmes is £2,000. The deposit for all part-time programmes is £1,000. The deposit amount will be deducted from the first instalment of your tuition fees.

For more information on tuition fees and payment methods see here.

Deposits will only be refunded in exceptional cases to applicants who have failed to meet the academic conditions of their offer and for whom we were not able to accept their final results, or to international students who were unable to obtain a student visa. This will be subject to presentation and assessment of valid documentation supporting the claim.

Deferring an offer

In exceptional cases, you may be able to defer your offer. To do so, you should have accepted your offer and paid the deposit. You will then be asked to confirm the deferral request in writing by email. Please inform us of your intention to apply for deferral as soon as possible.

When admissions open the following academic year, the admissions office will contact you and ask you for updated information.

Step 2: Upgrading your offer

If your offer is conditional, you will need to provide the admissions office with some documents before your offer can be upgraded to an unconditional offer. You cannot apply for a visa, request a CAS certificate nor complete registration until your offer is unconditional.

Refer to your offer letter to check your offer conditions and the deadline for submission.

Should your final results not meet the conditions of your offer, you should contact the Admissions Office immediately. Your results will then be reviewed for a final decision.

Final degree transcript

If the Admissions Office require an original or certified version of your final degree transcript, this will be indicated in the conditions of your offer. Your transcript must be emailed to us directly from your University's Registry department.

The email must be sent from a verifiable University Registry email address. We cannot accept scans, photocopies or emails directly from you or your agent.

We are able to accept secure electronic transcripts from overseas institutions or online HEAR/GradIntel final degree transcripts from participating UK Universities, where direct verification has been arranged for us.

Please note that your final degree transcript must confirm the following before your offer can be made unconditional:

- Degree award (e.g. Bachelor of Science)
- Degree classification (e.g. 2.1)
- Degree award/conferral date
- Individual module results

If your transcript is not in English, a translation by an official translator or the British Council, stamped and accompanied by the original, sent electronically directly by the translator. The original language documents should also be emailed to your MSc Admissions Officer by your University

English language test

If a condition of your offer is to sit an IELTS/PTE/TOEFL English language test, you will need to submit a copy of your IELTS/PTE/TOEFL report, which we will verify online using the reference number. Please ensure you have authorised Bayes Business School to verify your results online.

GMAT

If you have taken the GMAT we will need access to your result via GMAC – it helps us to track the result if you also send us a copy of your report, which includes the appointment number. Please use Bayes Institution Code 2C2-RO-84 - Masters in Science.

Other documents

There may be some other documents that need verification such as professional qualifications or proof of employment – you will have been informed if these are necessary. If you have any queries, contact the Admissions Office for advice.
