About Dr Oben Ceryan
Dr Oben Ceryan is a Senior Lecturer in Operations and Supply Chain Management at Bayes Business School, City St George’s, University of London. His research primarily focuses on dynamic pricing and revenue management, studying optimal replenishment, allocation, pricing and assortment decisions in supply chains. He investigates operational and marketing strategies to mitigate price fluctuations across multiple products due to supply constraints, and his work has been published in leading journals including Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Production & Operations Management, IISE Transactions, European Journal of Operational Research and Decision Sciences. His research has received the 2023 IISE Transactions Best Paper Award in Supply Chain and Logistics and a Ford Motor Company Best Paper Award.
Dr Ceryan teaches modules on pricing and revenue management, quantitative methods and analytics, strategic business analytics and supply chain analytics across undergraduate, MSc, MBA and PhD programmes. He has also been shortlisted for the 2020 Student Union Awards for Academic Impact and his pricing research is cited in influential texts on pricing and revenue management. He received his PhD from the University of Michigan.
