About Dr Jay Jung

Dr Jay Jung is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting at Bayes Business School, City St George’s, University of London. He is the Course Director of the International Accounting and Finance MSc and the International Accounting and Finance with Management MSc at Bayes Business School. He also serves as the Director of Academic Research at the Centre for Financial Analysis and Reporting Research (CeFARR). Dr Jung is a Representative Member of the European Corporate Governance Institute and a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy.

His research focuses on financial analysts and capital markets, and his work has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Accounting and Economics. His research has been featured in international media including Bloomberg, Yahoo Finance, Le Monde and NBC News Radio. He has presented his research at more than 30 international conferences and 40 university seminars worldwide.

Dr Jung contributes to the academic community through editorial roles, serving as an ad hoc Associate Editor of the British Accounting Review and as a board member for both British Accounting Review and European Accounting Review. He also reviews for top journals including The Accounting Review and Management Science, and has received multiple Excellence in Reviewing awards.

He has taught across executive, MBA, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels.
