About Alex Moss

Alex Moss is the Course Director of the Real Estate MSc at Bayes Business School, City St George’s, University of London, and the Director of the Real Estate Research Centre. He has been involved in research and transactions in the global real estate sector for over 30 years, building his career across award‑winning sell‑side research, investment banking, private equity and fund management. This includes senior roles in organisations such as BZW, Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB), Apax Partners Capital, M&G and Investec.

He formed AME Capital in 2002, developing a proprietary database and analytical tool for listed real estate companies and securities funds globally, before selling the business to Macquarie Securities in 2008, where he continued as Head of Global Property Securities Analytics. In 2012 he founded Consilia Capital, a real estate investment advisory firm with an international institutional client base. Alex is an acknowledged international expert in Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) and is regularly invited to speak on the topic around the world.

Alex’s extensive industry experience and research underpins his teaching, allowing students to benefit from real‑world insights into property markets, valuation, asset pricing and capital markets as they study the Real Estate MSc.

He also serves on the Advisory Board and chairs the Research Committee for the European Public Real Estate Association (EPRA), whose members own more than €840 billion of real estate assets globally.
