Executive MBA

Prior to joining the MBA, I worked for a private financial services SME. I wanted to make a transition into a global organisation and meet like-minded professionals with similar ambitions. I also lacked exposure to other sectors beyond finance, so sought some insight into the wider world of business. My approach to business since graduating is more entrepreneurial and leads me to questioning the norm and finding smarter ways to work more frequently than I was before. It’s also enabled me to be more objective having had the opportunity to complete projects on various companies throughout my MBA.

My Evening Executive MBA has helped me rediscover my passion for business. I had initially begun the MBA contemplating a change of sector, but my experiences on the programme have helped me to identify and appreciate numerous parts of my role. Bayes offered specific modules and projects which were incredibly formative, coupled with a diverse international network and platforms for opportunity. The school has armed me with the confidence and new skills to take on new responsibilities in my career. Bayes is like a family – providing a safe environment to rediscover myself and my sense of purpose.

I joined the Evening Executive MBA at Bayes after nine years in senior leadership roles at Accenture and Barclays Bank. But I was ready for a new challenge—one that would allow me to make a complete career pivot. One of the most impactful experiences for me was the Entrepreneurship module, which affirmed my entrepreneurial spirit and helped me explore new professional pathways. My Business Integration Project with Own New, a new-build mortgage provider, gave me hands-on experience in start-up strategy. I proposed a portfolio of new business models, based on insights from my Executive MBA, that helped Own New diversify its revenue and successfully enter the UK market. The MBA’s emphasis on innovation and disruption enabled me to evolve from a corporate executive into the leader of an innovative start-up. It was a truly transformative experience.
